Job Profile

The company is recruiting a CNC Machinist III who will complete the set-up and operate both manual and CNC equipment without supervision for the efficient production of high-complexity quality components.

Be proficient in multiple machine types.

Be responsible for the production of high-tolerance precision parts which requires the use of basic and advanced inspection metrology and assist in the training of other machinists as required.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants should have a Vocational or Technical Degree from a college/university

Work Experience

  • Possess a minimum of 3 years of CNC Machinist experience, in addition to a Vocational/Technical degree or 6 years of CNC Machining experience in lieu of a degree
  • Advanced knowledge of CNC G&M codes
  • CAM software experience
  • CNC set-up
  • Data entry system experience
  • Experience as a Tech I for 2 years
  • Experience in a CNC II capacity

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Abides by all Company safety and health policies and procedures and uses personal protective equipment if required.
  • Ability to troubleshoot using CAM software
  • Advanced ability to interpret technical prints.
  • Advanced knowledge and use of CNC machine G&M Code and troubleshooting skills to identify and edit program improvements.
  • Aware of and actively participates in the company’s Lean philosophy of continuous improvement.
  • Aware of and conforms to company ISO goals and objectives and supports company ISO requirements.
  • Ensures measuring devices used to check product quality are calibrated prior to use.
  • Monitors quality of parts produced utilizing all departmental metrology devices to ensure Customer requirements are met and follow the procedure for handling nonconforming parts.
  • Set up, operate, and adjust machining equipment for high-complexity part production and provides troubleshooting and assistance to other machinists as needed.
  • Trains new and existing machinists as needed.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter in a field-based environment
  • Able to sit and stand for an extended period in a confined space
  • Advanced level of reading and interpreting technical drawings
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot most issues
  • Good hand/eye coordination (manual dexterity), basic organizational and troubleshooting/problem-solving skills/ability to solve problems using advanced technical skills
  • Has an intermediate ability to train employees
  • Mechanical aptitude and basic PC skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office products required
  • Strong attention to detail in order to recognize defects
  • Willing to work overtime and hours outside normal business hours as needed, based on Customer needs.
