Job Profile

The company is recruiting a Code Welder to join its Manufacturing Facility.

Educational Qualification

  • No education level is mentioned, yet having a High School Diploma will be a plus

Required Tests

  • FCAW – 2G position on SA36 plate ¼” thickness. Welded from both sides
  • GMAW-Short Circuit – 1GR position root and fill/cap on SA106 Gr. B 2” Sch 160 pipe
  • GTAW – 1GR position root and fill/cap on 2” Sch 160 SA106 Gr. B pipe

Work Experience

  • Welding experience or schooling using MIG (GMAW); TIG (GTAW) and Flux core (FCAW) on structural, pipe, plate, or sheet metals. Materials include carbon steel and stainless steel.
  • Experience reading, interpreting, and understanding blueprints
  • Experience with set up, operation, and positioning of welding equipment

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Handle floor-operated cranes or other material-handling equipment
  • Join, fabricate and prepare metal and other weld-able material by applying appropriate welding techniques
  • Read blueprints and join parts with little assistance
  • Setting up, operating, and positioning of welding equipment to perform required welds at moderate tolerances
  • Use mathematics and appropriate tools – including measuring devices (tape measure)
  • Performing other related duties including grinding, burning, and gouging
