Job Profile
The company is searching for a Control Systems Engineer who will be responsible for providing technical production support, leading projects, and developing processes for the manufacture of HVAC centrifugal chillers.
Be self-motivated with well-developed problem-solving and interpersonal skills, including a strong ability to lead teams, manage process improvements, and influence others in a cross-functional environment.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (college/university) or an Equivalent
Work Experience
- Possess previous experience with automation equipment and tooling
- Experience with a variety of industrial controls and applications (preferred)
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma tools and methodology (a plus)
- Proven experience required in PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming and systems
Duties/Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional individuals and teams to build consensus and achieve best practice outcomes. Understanding of lean principles and requirements for the successful design of work cells.
- Conduct process qualification activities to ensure delivered processes meet required specifications. Create required documentation for new processes and provide or support the training of production associates.
- Lead the development of manufacturing concepts to the implementation of the final process design. Verify project benefits meet or exceed business case expectations. Document the designs and manage changes within existing quality control systems.
- Utilize a standardized problem-solving approach to troubleshoot product and process failures and develop root-cause solutions to prevent reoccurrences through the final manufacturing validation process.
- Work with vendors and equipment manufacturers to complete validation, run-off, and installation of process systems. Process systems can include semi and fully-automated systems in welding, pressure testing, and control verification.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- The ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization is required. Must be able to speak and write clearly and concisely
- Must have a strong work ethic with a positive attitude, and be customer-focused, team-oriented and results-driven
- Possession of initiative to further develop technical skills, interpersonal skills, and career path
- Project leadership and team building skills a plus
- Understanding of mechanical systems in a semi and fully-automated industrial application is preferred
