Job Profile
The company is hiring a Controls/Robotics Engineer who will assist with equipment start-up, debugging, troubleshooting, throughput, and enhancement of the Automated equipment at the Build Shop, and at the customer site.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should have an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Degree (will consider a College Diploma as a minimum) or related field of study or equivalent industry experience
- GRS certification (an asset)
Work Experience
- Possess Fiat Chrysler, GM, Ford, Tier 1, Bodyshop, and Build shop experience (an asset)
- Has previous experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry and can work in a team or independently to solve problems.
Duties/Responsibilities
For Controls Engineer
- Assist with electrical and software design when required
- Building our customer relationships
- Familiar with Buyoff procedures
- Help recruit resources as needed for projects
- Lead Controls/Intermediate project Engineer
- Start-up, debug, and troubleshooting of robotic automation equipment at the Build Shop and customer’s site
- Throughput enhancement at the customer’s site
For Robotics Engineer
- Auto Debug and troubleshooting with PLC
- Cycle time reduction and throughput improvement
- DCS, SafeOp, SafeMove
- Fanuc, ABB, Kuka or other
- I/O Configuration
- Interference Zone configuration
- Mastering, TCP, OLP’s, and Payload
- Material handling, Spot welding, and Sealing/Dispensing
- Possess a thorough knowledge of Robotic integration and engineering
- Vision system experience (an asset)
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Be a self-starter
- Well organized
- Maintains an excellent work ethic
Other Requirements
- Eligible for a TN Visa
- Intermediate Controls Engineer (2-5 years)
- Senior Lead Controls Engineer (5+ years)
- Valid US/CAN/MX Passport
