Job Profile
The company is hiring a Die Plate Designer who will provide the highest quality design and technical support for the Maag family of equipment to include die plates and die plate-related items.
Education Level
- Associate’s Degree or higher in mechanical design or engineering-related studies
Work Experience
- Mechanical design experience
- Experienced in the use of SolidWorks
License/Certification
- Any certifications in the use of mechanical design (SolidWorks highly preferred)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Creates and maintains CAD models, detail drawings, bills of material, and shop information packets for machine shop production.
- Determines what items need to be ordered.
- Helps the Sales Department and Customer Service Department with questions and requests from customers globally.
- Independently reviews specifications for the project.
- Leads technical discussions regarding design issues or proposed changes.
- Meets tight design deadlines and works OT when required
- Participate in Continuous Improvement efforts such as Kaizen events and problem-solving.
- Provides support to CNC Programmers and the Machine Shop.
- Other tasks as assigned by the manager.

Work Environment
- Work in this position is onsite in an office and a factory floor environment.
- Remote work is not available due to working closely with the machine shop.
- May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration.
- The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud, and PPE may be required.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to talk or hear.
- Frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
