Job Profile

The company is hiring a Ducting Inspector who will be responsible for inspecting dimensions to print specifically for our ducting value stream.

Uphold the quality and integrity of all parts manufactured and support operations in a leadership facet to help meet internal/external goals for both our suppliers and customers.

Educational Qualification

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution

Work Experience

• Minimum 5 years of work experience
• Minimum 3 years of quality experience

Duties/Responsibilities

• 5S+ involvement which includes but is not limited to your working area
• Ability to read and interpret advanced blueprints, reverse engineer prints, establish inspection methodology
• Ability to work with MFG-PRO to process parts systematically and WISPER for DMR generations
• Dimensionally inspect manufactured parts with advanced measuring techniques per acceptance criteria.
• Maintain calibration of all duct welding assembly fixtures.
• Read/interpret advanced blueprints, assembly drawings, angularity, profile, and various datums (Vectors)
• Record/document all receiving, in-process, and final inspection findings as required
• Uphold quality integrity and generate non-conformance reports when parts don’t meet specifications
• Using pre-written programs, calibrate attribute gauges
• Visually and manually inspect manufactured parts per acceptance criteria
• Working knowledge of multiple product lines with emerging leadership roles and responsibilities
• Working knowledge on the use of hand tools including gage R and R, as well as material analysis processing

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate Degree or Technical certification
• Experience working with inspection plans, first piece layout, FAIRs, mil certs, and COCs
• Advanced Blue Print reading, GD and T, and CMM training/certification is a plus
• Knowledge of scanning and programming from solid models Mitutoyo, and MCOSMOS software is a plus.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to work independently with no supervision
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Must be able to read, write and speak the English language
• Must be able to stand/walk 8+ hours/day
• Possible exposure to radiation through the use of an XRF device for scanning material
• Shall be able to organize and report test results
• Shall be able to perform basic mathematical calculations

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Beltsville, MD will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation
