The company is hiring an Electronics Repairer II who will service and repair a variety of electronic and electrical systems and related equipment; integral to plant operations.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Work Experience

  • 4 years of experience working with production equipment.
  • Prior experience with machine maintenance, such as Operating CNC machines

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Answer calls on malfunctioning units.
  • Segregate waste material and follow good housekeeping practices to maintain cleanliness of assigned areas and comply with all EH&S procedures.
  • Follow schematics, drawings, specifications, service manuals, and general instructions to perform difficult electronic, electrical, mechanical, and other related technical work.
  • Make minor repairs, replace electronic components, tighten connections, etc., to keep systems in operating condition.
  • Make periodic prescribed checks to ensure systems and components are operating correctly.
  • Perform routine service and minor repairs on machine tool control units, test stand controls, metal processing controls and recorders, blade bonding and balance units, welding machine controls, vidi-gage, x-ray, spectrograph, and other electronic-electrical systems and equipment integral to plant facilities and operations.
  • Refer unusual or difficult problems to the Working Leader or Supervisor.
  • Report findings to the leadman if trouble appears to be of a major malfunction requiring critical diagnosis and evaluation to trace down the trouble.
  • Service and repair a variety of electronic and electrical systems and related equipment; integral to plant operations.
  • Use test instruments to trace circuitry and check values of components, waveform and amplitude, and other variables to locate trouble.
  • Perform other related duties as directed, and when emergency or unusual conditions arise in the operation of the maintenance department, or at the request of a supervisor, may be assigned other maintenance duties usually of a less skilled nature.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Detecting variations from specifications, analyzing results of tests to locate and determine the cause of the malfunction, modifying and adjusting settings to related equipment to properly align mechanical systems
  • Must be able to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams, schematics, drawings, performance specifications, and operating requirements of industrial manufacturing equipment to include CNC multi-purpose mechanical or electromechanical control systems.
  • Operating CNC machines through cycles to check the mechanical portion of electronic or electromechanical systems
  • Repairing faulty components
  • Ability to plan and perform service and repair of electronic systems and related equipment.
  • Use judgment to maintain, trouble-shoot and repair plant electronic equipment, follow standard or recognized methods.
  • Make periodic tests and adjustments to maintain the accuracy of the equipment.
  • Refer only unusual problems to leadman or foreman.
