Job Profile

The company is seeking a Fabrication Team Leader who will be responsible for team building, mentoring, fabrication, blueprint reading, and scheduling work orders.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants should have a High School Diploma or Equivalent

Work Experience

• Possess 3 to 5 years of solid fabrication experience (welding, shearing, sawing, and cutting).
• 2+ years in a position coordinating and directing team efforts

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist with welding, sawing, cutting, and shearing materials
• Coordinate fabrication schedules for small warehouse team to ensure work orders meet shipment dates
• Ensure proper shop supplies are ordered and maintained
• Observe safety procedures and report any safety issues.
• Perform in-process and final inspection on orders to maintain quality standards
• Prepare and process all paperwork necessary to complete orders
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop, and design drawings
• Safely operate forklifts or cranes to move material as required
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task
• Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings
• Ability to work independently in a production-oriented environment and perform against established performance standards
• Able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Intermediate computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and inventory systems
• Must be able to work overtime as required
• Self-starter with a willingness to learn
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
