Job Profile

The company is looking to hire a Finish Sander who will be responsible for welding clean-up and the cosmetic quality of the finished product.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants should have a minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent

Work Experience

• Possess a minimum of 3 months of mechanical and manufacturing experience

Duties/Responsibilities

• Ensure a part drawing is available for Quality for 1st off approval
• Inspect hand tools to verify that all safety guards are in place and that belts and discs are in optimal shape for the job
• Must conduct an hourly quality check of parts/components
• Must maintain proper housekeeping in and around the machine/work area.
• Must run 1st off part for Quality approval.
• Perform all job on/off transactions
• Properly identify and tag all containers for receipt into inventory
• Use of hand tools (jitterbug, side grinder, disc grinder, Dyna files) to smooth out part surfaces after welding
• Use of proper Personal Protective Equipment required for machine/department
• Other duties, as assigned

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Knowledge of welding processes a plus
