Job Profile
The company is searching for a Flange CNC Operator who will set up and operate multiple CNC lathe machines.
Produce and check the quality of finished parts.
Fully understands technical drawings, revisions, and note codes, and uses QC info.
Educational Qualification
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent from an accredited institution
Work Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience
- Completion of a machinist/CNC degree/certification
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years of manufacturing experience
- 2 years of CNC experience
Duties/Responsibilities
- Ability to operate and set up all machines with different controls in 3 or more cells
- Addresses scrap causes and corrective actions
- Be able to perform minor set-ups and tool changes to execute a sequence of operations such as turn, drill, and bore a variety of metal components.
- Can identify inserts, cutters, and general tooling for specific operations
- Can modify, edit, download, and upload programs via the DNC system to make multiple parts.
- Follow procedure according to production routers
- Interpret technical drawings in accordance with standard shop practices.
- Meet OEE target time to meet daily goals
- Perform all 5S+ activities and keep the immediate work area clean and free from hazards.
- Pre-kitting for the next job
- Responsible for finished parts conformity to print or specification.
- Willing to train and mentor other operators
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Must be able to use the computer
- Read and comprehend specifications, engineering drawings, and manufacturing routings
- Requires exposure to oil, dirt, and heat
- Must wear safety glasses, ear plugs, and steel-toed shoes for an entire shift
- Ability to stand, sit, and move 8-12 hours a day
- Must be able to lift up to 35lbs on a regular basis
