Job Profile

The company is recruiting a Heat Treat Helper who will assist in heat treat applications for titanium, nickel-based alloys, stainless, and alloy steels.

Assist with the operation, adjustment, and routine maintenance of all furnace controllers.

Straightens metal plates, weldments, and structural shapes or preheats them preparatory to welding or bending.

Educational Qualification

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED

Work Experience

  • Minimum 6-12 months of related experience or training

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ability to move parts on and off pallets
  • Ability to read and interpret shop order instructions, specifications, and other written and verbal instructions
  • Grinds parts
  • Load and unload furnaces
  • Load couple preparation
  • Maintains a safe and organized workstation and follows all company policies, safety, and procedures
  • Must have an understanding and knowledge of company procedures and work instructions
  • Places workpiece into a heating furnace for a specified period of time
  • Will learn to perform hardness inspection and read conversion table (ASTM E140).
