Work Experience

• Journeymen’s card or 5 years or more of equivalent work experience in a skilled trade discipline (required)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Bend and run conduit for electrical systems.
• Carry out pipefitting duties.
• Conduct periodic inspections and tests.
• Conduct welding tasks as needed.
• Install, repair, maintain, and fabricate plant facilities and equipment.
• Maintain and repair power plant systems and components.
• Maintain electrical infrastructure and related systems.
• Perform air conditioning maintenance and repair.
• Perform mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance.
• Perform painting tasks.
• Provide general maintenance and service support functions.
• Receive and act on general instructions from supervisors.
• Report inspection and test findings.
• Respond to service requests from supervisors and plant personnel.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical equipment.
• Undertake carpentry work.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete assignments.
• Work from blueprints, sketches, oral instructions, and specifications.
• Work with electrical systems of 120, 208, 277, and 480 volts.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• A working knowledge of machine tools and welding is a plus.
• Must be able to operate material handling equipment and rigging equipment.
• Must have a primary and secondary skill, primary must be an electrician, and secondary either a carpenter, pipe fitter, air conditioning mechanic, maintenance welder, or machine repairer.
• Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment are necessary.
• Proficient in troubleshooting, repair, and installation of electrical equipment and infrastructure maintenance, with the ability to bend and run conduit.

Work Environment

• Must regularly demonstrate the ability to lift a nominal weight, climb ladders, utilize elevated working platforms, and bend while servicing equipment.
• The candidate must supply all customary hand tools of the trade.
