Job Profile

The company is seeking an Ironworker with experience in the layout, fabrication, assembly, and erection of structural steel frameworks and metal components for industrial facilities.

Education Level

• High School Diploma or GED

Work Experience

• 2+ years of industrial ironworking experience

License/Certification

• NCCER or journeyman certification (a plus)
• OSHA 10 or 30

Duties/Responsibilities

• Align structures vertically and horizontally using levels, plumb bobs, and lasers
• Cut, bend, and weld metal components as needed
• Erect steel structures, including catwalks, platforms, supports, and frames
• Participate in safety meetings and site orientation as required
• Position and secure steel beams, columns, and other structural elements using bolts, rivets, or welding
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Signal crane operators to move heavy steel parts into place
• Use hand and power tools such as torches, shears, grinders, and welding equipment
• Work at heights on scaffolding, aerial lifts, or steel framework

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. regularly
• Ability to pass a drug test and background check
• Ability to stand, climb, bend, and kneel for extended periods
• Must be able to work from heights, confined spaces, and in various weather conditions
• Proficiency with rigging, welding, and steel erection techniques

Work Environment

• Exposure to loud noise, dust, and potentially hazardous materials
• Involves climbing, balancing, and working at great heights
• Physically demanding, requiring heavy lifting and strength
• Safety gear and strict adherence to protocols are essential
• Work is often performed outdoors in all weather conditions
