Job Profile
The company is recruiting a Machine Operator who will be responsible for setting up machines, performing machining and fabrication tasks, and creating test articles, fixtures, and data collection devices for various tests.
Education Level
- High School Diploma (a plus)
Work Experience
- 1+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications
- 1+ years of experience setting up and operating CNC Mills and Lathes
- 3+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years of experience using basic math (e.g., addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
- 3+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications
- 3+ years of experience in a role that required strong attention to detail
- 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Tools, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Duties/Responsibilities
- Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements
- Assembles airspace structures
- Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation
- Performs composite lay-up, fabrication, and assembly tasks
- Performs machine set-up, machining, welding set-up, welding, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending, and fabrication tasks
- Prepares test articles, fixtures, and data collection devices to perform various tests
- Works on articles of moderate complexity using established drawings and requirements
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Following safety procedures
- Monitoring machine performance
- Operating production machinery
- Performing routine maintenance
- Reading technical drawings
Work Environment
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
- Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, bending, kneeling, and lifting
- Ability to work any shift based on the needs of the operation
