Job Profile

The company is seeking a Machine Operator II who will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of machinery and equipment used for the fabrication of structural steel and tank products.

Education Level

• High School Diploma or GED

Work Experience

• 1 to 2 years of machine operation experience

Duties/Responsibilities

• Ability to competently operate a majority of equipment in an operational area, performing with accuracy, consistency, and with minimal supervision and rework.
• Ability to lead and direct groups of employees to successful task completion
• Embrace and demonstrate the qualities of the TrueNorth Steel Game Changer definition.
• Safely perform all duties and comply with the established JSA.
• Perform effectively as a trainer and mentor to junior employees.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment.
• Practice and promote Safety and Housekeeping.
• Prompt and dependable attendance.
• Utilize applicable tools and equipment relevant to operating the machine.
• Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

• May work in noisy, hot, or cold conditions depending on the facility
• Must follow strict safety and equipment protocols
• Operates machinery in a manufacturing or production environment
• Possible exposure to dust, fumes, or hazardous materials with protection
• Requires standing for long periods and lifting moderate weights
