Job Profile
The company is seeking a Machine Operator II who will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of machinery and equipment used for the fabrication of structural steel and tank products.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or GED
Work Experience
- 1 to 2 years of machine operation experience
Duties/Responsibilities
- Ability to competently operate a majority of equipment in an operational area, performing with accuracy, consistency, and with minimal supervision and rework.
- Ability to lead and direct groups of employees to successful task completion
- Embrace and demonstrate the qualities of the TrueNorth Steel Game Changer definition.
- Safely perform all duties and comply with the established JSA.
- Perform effectively as a trainer and mentor to junior employees.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment.
- Practice and promote Safety and Housekeeping.
- Prompt and dependable attendance.
- Utilize applicable tools and equipment relevant to operating the machine.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Working knowledge of basic lifting and rigging techniques.
Work Environment
- May work in noisy, hot, or cold conditions depending on the facility
- Must follow strict safety and equipment protocols
- Operates machinery in a manufacturing or production environment
- Possible exposure to dust, fumes, or hazardous materials with protection
- Requires standing for long periods and lifting moderate weights
