Company Profile
Uni-Form Components Co is an ASME pressure vessel component fabricator. It manufactures dished ends, tank heads, and rolled cylinders. UCC has the capability to form, fit and weld segmental heads nearly limitless in diameter. This includes forming and shop fabrication of field-erected spheres and accessory components.
Job Profile
The company is looking for a Machine Welder who will be responsible for welding steel plates of varying sizes and thicknesses per job specifications to meet quality standards.
Meet all Code welder requirements including operating an Arc Air Gouger, Sub Arc, and Flux Core welding machine.
Must be certified in SAW 1G with 100% radiograph inspection per ASME requirements.
Educational Qualification
- No educational level is given, yet a High School Diploma will be a plus
Work Experience
- Possess experience operating with tooling structure welding in an ASME atmosphere
Duties/Responsibilities
- Ability to adjust, maintain and inspect the equipment
- Ability to comply with all safety and environmental policies
- Ability to safely operate hand tools such as a grinder, pry bar, etc.
- Ability to work in a team environment with regular and predictable attendance
- Assist in other areas of the facility as needed
- Follow the designated WPS as specified on the applicable job card, and weld plates together using a Sub Arc machine with a stringer pass.
- Keep work area clean and orderly and report potential hazards
- Knowledge and ability to read blueprints and tape measure
- Must maintain 95% radiograph test efficiency
- Sub-Arc welds, 2PC blanks, and cylinders.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Ability to operate a pendant control crane
- Ability to Sub Arc weld, Arc Air Gouger, FCAW stringer/Hot Pass
- Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
- Must be available to work any shift
- Must pass Uni-Form Components Co. standard Sub Arc weld test
- Previous work experience in an industrial environment
- Process knowledge of ASME code
- Understands metric measurements and standard measurements
