IES Infrastructure (a company of IES Holdings) provides industrial maintenance and repair services for alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) electric motors and generators, as well as power generating and distribution equipment.

Job Profile

The company is hiring a Machinist who will perform repair and fabrication of components for electro-mechanical equipment using manual lathes, shapers, drill presses, grinders as well as electroplating.

Must apply knowledge of machining procedures, mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, and layout.

Educational Qualification

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Work Experience

• Possess at least 2-4 years of experience
• May be required to meet certain certifications in a specialized area

Duties/Responsibilities

• A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
• Ability to operate mechanical equipment to assemble, repair, and fabricate metal parts.
• Performs a variety of tasks.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Use of blueprints and design sketches to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels of the finished product.
• Use of measuring devices, (i.e.: ruler, micrometer, vernier, etc.).
• Works under general supervision.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to read/follow verbal work instructions and complete required documents.
• Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
