Job Profile
The company is searching for a Maintenance Technician who will provide safe and timely electrical support, preventative maintenance, installation, service, repair, troubleshooting, and resolution of multiple operating machines within a manufacturing industrial environment
Education Level
- Not mentioned, a High School Diploma (a plus)
Work Experience
- Will have mechanical and electrical experience, familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics, and basic troubleshooting experience, with a proven ability in machine repair.
- Troubleshooting industrial electrical control systems down to the component level (2-3 years preferred)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Contribute to a collaborative safety culture that drives results
- Provide a rapid response to ensure seamless productivity
- Utilize electrical/mechanical skills to maintain machinery
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and logic/control diagrams
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- A basic understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- A basic understanding of Preventive Maintenance programs
- Ability to work flexible hours, overtime
- Ability to work independently in a mature and professional manner
- Able to install, set up, and troubleshoot both AC and DC drives
- An operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery, which includes: motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3-phase power, communication devices, industrial/electronic controls, and power transmission systems
- Basic welding skills
- Contribute to a collaborative safety culture that drives results
- Familiar with computers and Microsoft software
- Familiar with pumps, both air and electric
- Familiar with pumps, both pneumatic and electric
- Knowledge with basic mechanical components and concepts (i.e., Gears and Gearboxes, Bearings, Drive Shafts, Couplings, Sprockets, Chains)
- PLC troubleshooting and problem-solving ability with practical, mechanical, and electrical aptitude
- Some knowledge of the various types of sensors and limit switches
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Utilize electrical/mechanical skills to maintain machinery
- Working knowledge of power transmission equipment
