The company is recruiting a Maintenance Technician to join its team.
Education Level
- High School Graduate with at least 1-4 years of verifiable experience performing preventive maintenance tasks.
Work Experience
- Must be able to read and understand simple electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics and apply them to repair equipment and to order necessary parts.
- Must be able to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist in root cause analysis utilizing Dover’s fast problem-solving methodology.
- Assist in the installation of new machinery and relocate machinery as needed; ensure machinery is set up properly.
- Complete and document work assignments as directed.
- Document the use of spare parts to maintain inventory properly.
- Follow safety-first work methods and procedures to avoid injury to self and co-workers or damage to company property, including use of all required personal protective equipment, following safety precautions (e.g., LOTO), ensuring proper machine guards, etc.
- Logging work hours in the CMMS system
- Lubricate and oil machinery as needed.
- Maintain, sustain, and continuously improve the VSG Preventative Maintenance program.
- Must be able to work from ladders, lifts, and at different heights to perform duties.
- Perform any required maintenance welding, using electric arc or gas processes as needed while performing PM.
- Perform minor machinery, electrical, and facility repairs as needed when found during PM.
- Perform necessary preventive maintenance on all equipment to ensure proper operation. Document all preventive maintenance.
- While performing PM, make necessary repairs to equipment such as replacing bearings, relays, switches, and gearboxes within ability and escalate to the supervisor repairs that cannot be performed.

Work Environment
- Be able to reach overhead, reach at shoulder level, and reach at knee and floor level.
- Bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, crawling, ladder/stair climbing, pivoting, twisting, neck extension/rotation, shoulder circumduction, lying supine, and using vibratory tools are also required
- Change shifts and work overtime and weekends, as required.
- Handling and lifting of parts or equipment (lifting 75 lbs. occasionally, 50 lbs. frequently, and repetitive pushing/pulling) as needed.
- Have fine motor dexterity, neck flexion, and be able to use air tools.
- Perform work in a loud/noisy environment.
- Prolonged standing, frequently handling various parts for assembly, frequent walking, reaching at waist level, pushing/pulling, grasping/squeezing, and pinching.
- Use a wide range of powered tools and hand tools, and vibratory tools/equipment.
- Work outside in all weather conditions and at heights
- Work with parts/equipment that may be hot, cold, or wet.
