The company is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join its team.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma (credible)

Work Experience

  • 2 years of recent verifiable related work history or equivalent education
  • Experience using motor control circuits, 480-volt 3-phase AC/DC motors, starters, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Proven experience using forklifts, man lifts, and most rigging equipment

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, and proactively maintain mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment for efficient operation
  • Assist with Motion Control, PLC, MMI, and HMI programming, troubleshooting, and repair
  • Dismantle machinery and equipment, locate the cause of malfunctioning or mechanical breakdown, replace parts from stock, or fabricate replacement parts as needed
  • Effectively conduct and assess diagnostic tests to ensure optimum system functionality
  • Fabricate machine components for repairs and improvements of mechanical devices
  • Fabricate, weld, mill, and lathe as needed
  • Install electrical components such as conduit, wiring, motor controls, starters, VFD, and soft starts
  • Operate arc welder, cutting torch, hand tools, and forklift
  • Perform general maintenance safely and efficiently, and maintain a clean work area
  • Rig, lift, and move heavy equipment
  • Run, maintain, and repair all mechanical parts and machinery in a manufacturing facility
  • Troubleshoot, install, replace, and repair machines and equipment, including mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Work may consist of various shifts and overtime, including weekends and holidays, during busy production times

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to recognize, report, and repair mechanical defects
  • Industrial mill maintenance experience is a plus
  • Proficient in welding, cutting, and using hand tools for repairs
  • Working knowledge of pneumatics, pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and bearings

Work Environment

  • Exposure to noise and machinery
  • Indoors and outdoors work
  • May work in tight spaces
  • On-call or shift hours possible
  • Requires physical activity
