Job Profile

The company is seeking a Maintenance Technician who will take a leading role in improving mine and plant efficiency and productivity.

The individual will work under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants require a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Skill-Trade Certifications (a plus)

Work Experience

• Possess welding/maintenance experience (a plus)
• Heavy equipment experience (a plus)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Actively participate in annual equipment evaluations
• Actively participate in scheduling the plant shutdowns, including analysis of needs, length of time to complete the project, and labor requirements
• Assist in developing annual equipment replacement needs
• Assist in the development of annual repair budgets
• Ensure ordered parts arrive prior to scheduling needed equipment repairs
• Maintain accurate maintenance lists that thoroughly address maintenance needs in assigned area
• Read and work from blueprints and parts books
• Safely troubleshoot and repair fixed plant equipment
• Set repair priorities in conjunction with the department supervisor
• Work closely with Maintenance Manager and Supervisor regarding major equipment repairs

Work Environment

• This job operates 100% of the time at either a surface plant or underground mine setting.
• Occasional evening and weekend work is expected.
