Job Profile
The company is seeking a Manufacturer Design Engineer to join its team.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering from a college/university
Work Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience using 3D modeling software (Inventor preferred)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist in creating details for new design concepts.
- Collaborate between engineering and production to solve and create details for standard installations.
- Create drawing sets for sheet metal components and assemblies including details and bills of material.
- Create engineering change notices and follow through on production changes and updates through standard processes.
- Develop and maintain engineering standards for design.
- Help drive and implement continuous improvement items and projects.
- Help lead teams and meetings to implement processes and draw changes and updates and communication to the manufacturing plant.
- Perform functions as integral support between Manufacturing and Engineering providing solutions and implementation follow-through.
- Research, edit, and help develop standard operating procedures for manufacturing.
- Support internal project engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing with accurate communication and documentation. Participate in project design and scheduling meetings.
- Sustaining engineering functions in manufacturing processes to provide support for issues and implementation.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to use related equipment and software such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel
- Experience in backup power generation or similar fields is a plus
- Experience with sheet metal components a plus
- Maintaining and remaining consistent in all CADD standards and company/departmental practices and procedures
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to complete basic mathematical calculations and problem-solving
- Solid understanding of design techniques and familiarity with engineering terminology and processes.
- Strong written, verbal, mathematical, and interpersonal skills.
