Job Profile
The company is searching for a Material Handler who will be responsible for all bin-to-bin transactions as well as the physical movement of material to and from PRD and various machines in support of high-volume production.
Be responsible for cycle counts and be responsible for the accuracy of the inventory.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or GED
Work Experience
- Experience with WMS (preferred). Detail-oriented, self-confident and assured, tactful, supportive.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the overall accuracy of the inventory.
- Move material to the shipping doc
- Perform 5s duties as prescribed for your area
- Perform cycle counts as material is dropped to SFG from Loc1
- Perform daily power truck inspection on the narrow aisle truck and the Barrett truck.
- Perform incoming inspection to determine that the material matches the su and coil tag. Top coil
- Perform Loc1 cycle counts
- Pick palletized orders for weld centers as needed.
- Pick STO orders for weld centers as needed
- Picks coils for band orders.
- Print labels for coil travelers
- Pull material for coil wind orders.
- Put all incoming material into the location/add up all coil tags, and determine if they match the su quantity
- Put pieces of coils back into the location from the prior days’ bands.
- Request material from other storage locations
- Work with other focus factories to resolve material short or overage issues and correct inventory.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Able to work independently and be self-motivated.
- Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and have a very high attention to detail.
- Must have excellent computer skills and be adept at learning new systems/procedures.
Work Environment
- Exposure to noise and varying temperatures
- Follows safety and handling procedures
- May lift heavy loads or operate forklifts
- Moves and organizes materials and products
- Works in warehouses, factories, or shipping areas
