Job Profile

The company is recruiting a Material Handler (Weld) who will be responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of product to internal and external customers.

Must ensure inventory levels are accurate and maintained.

Responsible for the safe operation of gas or electric-powered lifting devices

Education Level

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Work Experience

• Minimum 2 years of verifiable material handling experience in a manufacturing environment.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Accurate completion of forklift inspection.
• Continuously identify opportunities for quality and process improvements.
• Cross-train in various zone centers as required
• Escalate damaged parts or containers, missing inventory, and any accidents, incidents, or damage to Team Leaders or Supervisors.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Participate in inventory
• Recharge batteries or replace the liquid gas tank
• Support internal and external audits as needed.
• Utilize hand scanners and PLEX to correctly log inventory to the location
• All other duties as assigned

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to use a scanner.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills for data entry.
• English Proficiency
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Manual dexterity and visual acuity are required
• May require lifting up to 30 pounds.
• Must be able to pass operational and written forklift assessment and maintain certification to remain in the Material Handler classification
• Strong attention to detail and ability to detect defects.

• Exposure to heat and noise
• Industrial or warehouse setting
• Lifting heavy materials
• Near welding operations
• Wears safety gear daily
