Job Profile
The company is searching for a MIG/TIG Welder who will set up the equipment and clamp, grind, or bolt materials into the proper position before welding.
Inspect the final products for quality, so you should be able to read and interpret blueprints and other technical drawings.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or GED certificate
Work Experience
- At least 1 year of MIG welding experience
License/Certification
- Credentialed MIG welders (preferred)
- Must be able to pass an MIG weld test
Duties/Responsibilities
- Clamp, grind, tack-weld, or bolt components into position before welding
- Inspect final products for quality standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Set up the welding equipment
- Troubleshoot issues with welding equipment
- Weld steel and aluminum according to blueprints
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Blueprint and schematic reading
- Equipment setup and maintenance
- Metal fabrication and fitting
- Precision in MIG/TIG welding techniques
- Weld inspection and quality control
Work Environment
- See details in objects or drawings and recognize slight differences in shapes or shading, and work easily and skillfully with your hands.
- Lift and carry objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Stand for long periods.
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl to reach work areas; and use hands and arms to reach for, grasp, and manipulate objects.
