Job Profile

The company is searching for a NDE Technician II who will perform nondestructive inspection of material, parts, components, or pressurized systems; interprets data from tests; maintains equipment; and supervises NDE activities in accordance to referencing code.

Reports to Area Manager; develops procedures for the performance of a variety of duties/performs complex duties within established guidelines.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Work Experience

  • Possess work-related experience (a plus)

License/Certification

  • RT, RTR, UTT, PT, MT, VT certifications
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must have valid Level II NDE certifications and relevant experience
  • Must have a TWIC card

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Conducts NDT inspections in various methods
  • Instruct or supervise trainees
  • Interprets and reports results of inspections
  • Perform additional assignments per the supervisor’s direction
  • Provide support to Level III

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced turnaround environment
  • Analyzing test results and indications
  • Calibrating NDT equipment
  • Interpreting NDT codes and standards
  • Performing UT, MT, PT, and RT methods
  • Preparing detailed inspection reports
  • Strong attention to detail and safety compliance

Work Environment

  • Employee may be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.; reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movement of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30-50 lbs. from ground level, waist level, or overhead; carrying objects, tools, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction; following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; planning work; comparing and understanding differences in the size, shape and form of lines, figures and objects; picturing and evaluating solid objects from drawings or diagrams using standards that can be measured or checked; following oral or written directions, plans and blueprints; reading; writing; ability to recognize and report safety hazards
