Job Profile
The company is searching for an Orbital Tube Welding Technician I who will turn design into reality, owning the build of Terran R’s primary structures.
Education Level
- Not mentioned, a High School Diploma (a plus)
Work Experience
- 1+ year working in a manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years of aerospace fabrication/mechanical experience in the related field.
- 3+ years of OTW experience.
- TIG Welding or fit-up on assembly experience.
License/Certification
- Familiar with AWS D17.1 Standard
Duties/Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leadership and team members
- Prep, assemble, fit up, and tack complex fluid assemblies.
- Set up and operate orbital tube welding machine and necessary purge equipment.
- Verify weld quality visually and using a borescope system.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to follow work order instructions and read part drawings.
- Ability to adapt in fast-paced environments.
- Comfortable with measuring and cutting tools
Work Environment
- Exposure to high heat and bright arcs
- May work in confined or elevated spaces
- Stands for long periods during welding tasks
- Uses protective gear (gloves, eye protection, etc.)
- Works in cleanrooms or controlled environments
