Job Profile

The company is looking to hire a Plant Utility Person who will safely operate mobile equipment, such as yard loaders, and perform routine maintenance and repairs, including cutting and welding in a limestone quarry mining operation.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants should have High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

Work Experience

• Possess work-related experience

Duties/Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate large equipment, and perform maintenance or repairs on all plant and mobile equipment.
• Maintain computerized maintenance and repair records.
• Use a hand shovel and operate a skid steer, front-end loader, and water truck to clean around plant equipment and maintain roadways and parking areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor; participate in safety inspections and plant safety program.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Must be safety conscious, dependable, motivated, and possess a positive attitude in working with others as a team
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check

• Bend twist and turn frequently
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Squat, stoop and crouch to handle material
• Walk on a continuous basis
• Work in the extremes of the outside elements
