Job Profile

The company is hiring a Product Development Technician who will work on prototype products for customer samples and product performance testing.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist the product development expeditor as needed with loading, unloading, and storage of product
  • Build and assemble prototype products for customer samples and product performance testing
  • Build shipping containers to send to customers
  • Conform and adapt to new tasks as they arise in an R&D prototype shop
  • Follow all written procedures and work instructions (verbal or written) from the supervisor and other members of the management
  • Keep the work area clean, safe, and organized
  • Possibility of travel depending on the nature/outcome of certain projects
  • Store raw materials in proper floor or rack locations
  • Verify all samples have been checked to ensure quality
  • Perform other duties as requested or as deemed appropriate

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure, calipers, micrometer, etc.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack (fork truck operation is a plus)
  • Ability to operate basic hand power tools (drills, saws, radial arm saw, band saw, table saw, etc.)
  • Ability to read prints and drawings
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Detail-oriented mindset
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Proficiency in filling out necessary paperwork and data collection procedures on a PC
  • Self-starter attitude with the ability to work effectively and efficiently under minimal supervision
  • Valid MO Class F driver’s license to operate a company vehicle as necessary
  • e-License for driving department box truck
  • Excellent mechanical skills including welding and machining
