Job Profile
The company is hiring a Product Development Technician who will work on prototype products for customer samples and product performance testing.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist the product development expeditor as needed with loading, unloading, and storage of product
- Build and assemble prototype products for customer samples and product performance testing
- Build shipping containers to send to customers
- Conform and adapt to new tasks as they arise in an R&D prototype shop
- Follow all written procedures and work instructions (verbal or written) from the supervisor and other members of the management
- Keep the work area clean, safe, and organized
- Possibility of travel depending on the nature/outcome of certain projects
- Store raw materials in proper floor or rack locations
- Verify all samples have been checked to ensure quality
- Perform other duties as requested or as deemed appropriate
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure, calipers, micrometer, etc.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to operate a pallet jack (fork truck operation is a plus)
- Ability to operate basic hand power tools (drills, saws, radial arm saw, band saw, table saw, etc.)
- Ability to read prints and drawings
- Ability to work well with others
- Detail-oriented mindset
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
- Proficiency in filling out necessary paperwork and data collection procedures on a PC
- Self-starter attitude with the ability to work effectively and efficiently under minimal supervision
- Valid MO Class F driver’s license to operate a company vehicle as necessary
- e-License for driving department box truck
- Excellent mechanical skills including welding and machining
