Job Profile

The company is hiring a Production Assembler who will be part of our Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing team.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Work Experience

  • Previous manufacturing experience (a plus)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Abide by all Safety regulations and policies
  • Assemble rigid couplings and band clamps according to the blueprint
  • Clock in and out of jobs in JDE
  • Meet all production standards and efficiencies, focusing on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost based on current routings/times
  • Must be willing to work outside of your current position and department as qualified and needed
  • Must wear all required PPE for any task/job currently being performed
  • Packing the finished parts
  • Perform daily housekeeping tasks. Help maintain 5S standards in your work location and the whole department
  • Performs etching operation on rigid couplings, bands, and flanges, etc.
  • Print finished product labels and ensure accuracy of completed product and label
  • Read and understand blueprints
  • Set up and operate back banders, rollers, and spot-welding machines
  • Understand and know what all parts and components of the rigid couplings and band clamps are, and their functionality
  • Use calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to ensure parts are made to spec
  • Visual inspection of all components to ensure quality standards are met
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Able to work quickly, efficiently, and accurately to meet expectations
  • Basic computer knowledge and comfort using JDE
  • Basic mathematical abilities (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
  • Basic mechanical ability, including knowledge of and ability to be trained in the use of various machinery and measuring tools
  • Desire to learn new skills and improve knowledge
  • Organizational and communication skills
  • Strong orientation toward the ability to effectively implement or respond to change, punctuality, and consistent attendance
  • Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures, including those related to Safety

Work Environment

  • Able to frequently walk, twist, bend, reach, grasp, use fine manipulation, push, and pull
  • Able to lift, push, or pull up to 40 lbs. individually
  • Able to stand continuously for 8 to 10 hours daily
  • Able to use different machinery such as spot welders, back benders, and rollers
  • Must be able and willing to work daily and weekly overtime as required
  • Will be working in a manufacturing plant
