The company is hiring a Production Lead to join its team.

Education Level

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Work Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the job
• Prior experience in dredging or mining operations is essential for understanding the specific needs of the plant environment.
• Previous leadership experience (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition
• Apply knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of complex tasks
• Assists maintenance operators, equipment operators, assembly workers, and other process operators to complete assignments
• Complete understanding of the job, company policies, and processes
• Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures, and applicable government regulations
• Familiar with a broad variety of field concepts, practices, and procedures
• Function as a team leader by directing the work of others
• Lead the team in the manufacturing process to ensure quality and timely production.
• Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators
• May be required to fill in so that production goals can be met
• May influence or impact others’ tasks or decisions
• May operate specialized equipment that requires advanced skills
• Monitor and adapt processes and scheduling to accomplish manufacturing goals
• Must be hands-on
• Perform daily pre-shift equipment and workplace inspections to maintain equipment performance
• Perform tasks assigned in a safe and efficient manner
• Train, instruct, and direct the work activities of employees
• Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
• Must be proficient in welding and cutting processes to perform necessary repairs and maintenance.
• Ability to carry out routine and emergency maintenance tasks on plant equipment.
• Independent judgment and resourcefulness, or a sense of leadership, are required
• Ability to solve and identify complex problems using advanced technical knowledge and creativity
• Computer savvy
• Positive, Team-based attitude.

Work Environment

• Stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
• While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
