Job Profile
The company is seeking a Production Planner to join its team.
Educational Qualification
- High School Diploma
- Further education or certification (preferred)
Work Experience
- Proven experience as a production planner
Duties/Responsibilities
- Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption
- Collaborate with quality control, warehouse, and other staff
- Coordinate production workflow for multiple products
- Determine manpower, equipment, and raw materials needed to cover production demand
- Identify overtime needs for all departments.
- Keep paperwork organized.
- Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget
- Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives, etc.)
- Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
- Prepare and submit status and performance reports
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Excellent communication abilities
- Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
- Good at math and statistics
- Strong organizational skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to access all areas of the facility to determine needs
- Must be able to lift 15 lbs.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer (offers standing desk options to combat prolonged sitting)
