Job Profile
The company is recruiting a Production Supervisor to join its team.
Education Level
- Associate Degree (required)
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
Work Experience
- 4 years of experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
License/Certification
- Position must be able to obtain a Repairman Certificate within 2-4 months of employment or have the credentials, i.e., A&P license, so they are able to supervise any maintenance activity.
- Six Sigma Greenbelt/Blackbelt (preferred)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assign and execute the daily and weekly production schedule.
- Communicate/document with employees on performance; assist employees in achieving performance expectations.
- Complete Corrective Actions to improve the area.
- Coordinate with other areas to meet goals.
- Document travelers after operations are performed.
- Ensure compliance with Company IPM/QPM and ISO quality requirements.
- Ensure equipment is in proper working order.
- Ensure materials and supplies are available when required to execute daily plans.
- Ensure staff receive adequate training for the operations assigned to them.
- Ensures company policies and procedures are followed.
- Follow the MOS principles supplied by management.
- Interaction with Customers as needed.
- Leadership role model in terms of professional behaviors and personal accountability.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment. Follow, enforce, and support 5S principles.
- Meet long and short-range plans.
- Promotes a safe work environment.
- Provide accurate and timely information on performance administrative work.
- Provide accurate and timely performance feedback to management.
- Reinforce adherence to standards (QCPs, policies, and procedures, etc.) through coaching and routine follow-up.
- Resolve performance/disciplinary issues with employees in coordination with Human Resources.
- Score favorably in compliance audits of the MOS Overall Utilization Assessment.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Practical knowledge of aircraft components, machining, welding, inspection, and related disciplines.
- Problem-solving and organizational skills
- Self-motivated with a high level of ownership and accountability
- Strong computer skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Team building skills
Work Environment
- Exposure to noise, machinery, and manufacturing materials
- May work shifts, including nights or weekends
- Oversees team operations in a fast-paced environment
- Stands and walks frequently; occasional lifting required
- Works on the production floor and in office settings
