Job Profile

The company is hiring a Repair Technician (Welding/Fabrication) who will fit and join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques in accordance with specifications and production schedules.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants may require a High School Diploma or GED

Work Experience

• 8+ years of welding experience
• 5+ years of automotive bodywork and painting (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Custom fabrication and repair of metal parts onsite
• Responding to service calls in a timely manner with the normal job averaging 2-4 days
• Heavy travel involved, must be willing to travel for 1-2 weeks at a time
• Other duties as assigned

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to lift over 50 pounds
• Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, squat, sit, walk, and climb for extended periods of time
• Ability to work outdoors (tented)
• Demonstrated willingness to work with others in a team environment
• Highly skilled in sheet metal repair work
• Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and written
• Must be thoroughly familiar with welding equipment such as torches, torch tips, filler rods, flux, hoses, valves, and gas cylinders
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Must have unimpaired hearing
• Willingness to telecommute as necessary – upwards to 1-2 weeks at a time
