IES Infrastructure (a company of IES Holdings) provides industrial maintenance and repair services for alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) electric motors and generators, as well as power generating and distribution equipment.

Job Profile

The company is seeking a Repairer who will perform repair and fabrication of components for electro-mechanical equipment using manual lathes, shapers, drill presses, grinders as well as electroplating.

Must apply knowledge of machining procedures, mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, and layout.

Educational Qualification

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Work Experience

• May be required to be certified in an area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Ability to operate mechanical equipment to assemble and repair electric motor components and sub-assemblies.
• Performs a variety of tasks
• Read basic prints and line diagrams (i.e., lead connections)
• Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Use of measuring devices, (i.e.: ruler, micrometer, vernier, etc.), hand tools, and testing devices (i.e.,  megger, volt meter, etc.)
• Works under general supervision

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
• Ability to read/follow verbal work instructions and complete required documents
• Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures
