Job Profile
The company is looking for a Robot Operator who will operate, maintain, program, and clean robots.
Perform other manufacturing tasks as needed and assigned.
Educational Qualification
- High School Diploma or GED
Work Experience
- Previous experience in a related role (preferred)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Change welding wire when required.
- Follow company safety procedures and other policies.
- Inspect all parts produced.
- Interpret and respond to robot event messages.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Load parts into the jig in the correct sequence.
- Monitor robot operation.
- Perform robot program storage and retrieval.
- Prepare the robot for the next production lot by setting the jig and setting the robot program.
- Properly start up and shut down the robot.
- Report any and all safety concerns or issues to the immediate attention of the supervisor.
- Troubleshoot and determine root cause, including analysis, and diagnosis of robotic equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to work quickly and accurately
- Able to work as part of a team
- Able to work with limited supervision
- Basic understanding of blueprints required
- Quality standards must be strictly adhered to, so attention to detail is extremely important
- Regular and reliable attendance
Physical Requirements
- Exposure to chemicals, moving, mechanical parts, dusty conditions, and high noise levels is sometimes required.
- Subject to substantial movements of the wrists, hands, or fingers.
- Required to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods of time.
- Required to reach or lift up to 30 lbs.
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. may be required.
- Required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as operating machines such as lathes where the seeing job is within arm’s reach.
- Subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
