Job Profile

The company is looking for a Senior Machinist who will be responsible for Machining parts for Oil Field products using CNC Lathes, CNC Mills, and CNC Lasers.

Also, produce complex parts from a variety of materials, within close tolerances, without assistance.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants require a High School Diploma
• Technical Certification (required)

Work Experience

• Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience (required)
• Must have prior senior-level experience operating any or all of the following machines: CNC Lathe, CNC Mill
• Must have senior-level CNC Laser experience

Duties/Responsibilities

• Able to perform at an average of 85% efficiency or better, abiding by company standards.
• Advanced level of skill to machine complex features with a wide range of materials.
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs. Must be able to abide by all company SOPs and safety regulations.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Must be able to eliminate waste and hazards.
• Must be able to identify various parts used in the assembly of products.
• Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Must be able to run and operate at a senior, advanced level of skill: CNC Lathe, CNC Mill, and CNC Lasers.
• Notifies supervisor of any issues, concerns, or need for additional resources.
• Prevents/corrects assembly issues by altering dimensions to meet specifications.
• Utilizing the ability to position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements at a senior level.
• Will need to identify and use with proficiency the appropriate tools to prepare, strip and crimp appropriate wires used in assembly without any assistance.
• Will need to maintain labor records transactions – utilizing company MRP (Great Plains).
• Performs extra related work as required.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to establish and maintain effective business relationships with teammates and supervisors.
• Advanced knowledge of shop techniques and procedures; have a senior-level understanding of various nomenclatures and uses of materials, tooling, and equipment
• Communication and interpersonal relationships to interact effectively with co-workers and supervisors to convey information and receive work direction.
• Considerable ability to understand and utilize the applicable measuring equipment
• Must be able to multitask.
• Must be able to read, write, comprehend and follow written instructions in English.
• Must be able to work under pressure and react professionally to unplanned events.
• Must have considerable knowledge of the equipment, materials, methods, and practices of general machining
• Must have senior-level understanding and knowledge of operating the following equipment; micrometer, bore gauges, depth gauges, thread gauges, variety of machining tools
• Must have the senior skill level to utilize basic hand and power tools safely.
• Must have the ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment.
• Must possess the ability to sit for long periods.
