Job Profile

The company is recruiting a Senior Machinist/Fabricator who will develop, implement, and maintain methods and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies.

Create programs, and manufacturing instructions, and identify/design tooling for new or existing product lines.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field

Work Experience

  • 5+ years set up and operation of Manual and CNC machining centers
  • 5+ years of CNC programming and set-up experience (Mastercam)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Manufacturing Technician or a related role
  • Experience fabricating fixtures and tooling
  • Experience running Haas or Okuma CNC Machines
  • Experience with design programs such as SolidWorks
  • Experience leading a team of technicians
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Experience with CAD software and other engineering tools

License/Certification

  • 2-year Technical Degree/Certification in a machining program

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize fabrication processes
  • Conduct inspections, testing, and quality checks to ensure compliance with standards
  • Fabrication work, cutting, drilling, tapping, polishing, assembly, etc.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
  • Interpret engineering drawings and select appropriate processes
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed
  • Make fixtures and special tooling
  • Modify complex components and assemblies without specific direction for Fit, Form, and Function
  • Set up and operate various fabrication machines and tools such as saws, mills, lathes, and welders

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices
  • Proficiency with manual lathe and mill machines
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong technical skills in mechanical systems and components
  • Working Knowledge of other various other fabrication machines such as EDM, laser cutting, CNC benders, 3D printing

Work Environment

  • Exposure to noise, dust, heat, and sharp materials
  • Must follow strict safety protocols and wear protective gear
  • Operates heavy machinery and fabrication tools
  • Stands for long hours and performs physically demanding tasks
  • Works in workshops or industrial manufacturing environments
