Job Profile

The company is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer who can work on project teams to win new business, develop new products and review engineering drawings and documentation.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants require a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from a college/university.

Work Experience

  • Possess 10+ years in manufacturing engineering with direct experience in NPI, design, and manufacturing. Direct experience in machining, tooling, brazing, or GTAW welded assemblies.
  • Desirable Experience: Solidworks, MRP Software, MRB, military specifications, ASME 14.100, ASME 14.500, AS9100, Six Sigma.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Analyze inspection data including CMM, paint, test data, etc.
  • Conceptual design and development of new products.
  • Control manufacturing costs by employing effective manufacturing methods and fixtures.
  • Develop cost estimates for new product quotations.
  • Develop new product manufacturing processes (tooling, routings/process sheets, and work instructions).
  • Ensure on-time delivery of new products through timely documentation release and factory floor support.
  • Generate and maintain high-quality design documentation.
  • Lead design and development of machining, brazing, welding, testing, and other fixtures.
  • Lead/conduct process failure analyses to determine root causes and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Lead/participate in multifunctional project teams.
  • Lead/participate in R and D projects.
  • Lead/participate teams in cost reduction efforts.
  • Mentor other engineers and designers.
  • Process ECNs, DMRs, and MRB requests.
  • Product Support Engineer for the life of the product.
  • Research, design and develop more efficient workflows, methods, and equipment.
  • Review and approve drawing packages, conduct analyses versus customer requirements, manufacturing methods, GD&T, and cost.
  • Review of the customer and industry specifications.
  • Work with subject matter experts in machining, brazing, heat treating, and welding to implement processes that meet customer requirements and cost/quality goals.
