Job Profile
The company (A-Lert Construction Services) is looking for a Stainless Steel MIG Welder who will set up the equipment and clamp, grind, or bolt the materials into the proper position before welding.
Inspect the final products for quality, so you should be able to read and interpret blueprints and other technical drawings.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or GED certificate
Work Experience
- At least 1 year of MIG welding experience
- Credentialed MIG welders (preferred)
License/Certification
- Able to pass an MIG weld test
Duties/Responsibilities
- Clamp, grind, tack-weld, or bolt components into position before welding
- Inspect final products for quality standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Set up the welding equipment
- Troubleshoot issues with welding equipment
- Weld stainless steel according to blueprints
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Following welding safety protocols
- Inspecting and correcting weld defects
- Precision welding of stainless steel
- Reading and interpreting blueprints
- Setting up MIG welding equipment
Work Environment
- See detail in objects or drawings and recognize slight differences in shapes or shadings; and work easily and skillfully with hands.
- Lift and carry objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Stand for long periods.
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl to reach work areas; and use hands and arms to reach for, grasp, and manipulate objects.
