Job Profile

The company is searching for an Operations Supervisor who will hold responsible for the overall safe and efficient operation of all pipeline systems supporting the Patoka Terminal and Patoka Pipeline.

This position will adhere to all Partnership policies and procedures and operate within its budget set forth annually by the Partnership.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants should have a High School Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent

Work Experience

  • Possess 8+ years of crude terminal operations experience

Preferred Experience

  • Experience staffing and hiring field teams
  • Familiar with regulatory guidelines of government agencies and with the Incident Command System concerning emergency response
  • Previous experience as Incident Commander
  • Relative pipeline and tank terminal experience

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and company policy.
  • Evaluates employee performance and goal achievement.
  • Monitors administration of company policy and standard operating procedures.
  • Provides guidance to resolve operational problems as required.
  • Responsible for review of and implementation of Patoka Terminal and Patoka Pipeline expense and capital budgets.
  • Supervises the day-to-day facility operations to meet required production rates and monitors operating data to minimize problems and downtime.
  • Supports capital projects through project commissioning activities.
  • Works unified with shared service departments to maintain consistency with all areas of business and maximize the benefits of all departments.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Broad and varied experience in the maintenance and operations of pipelines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills are required.
  • Must be able to perform in a fast-paced ever-changing environment, and simultaneously manage numerous activities at once.
  • Proven ability to manage large numbers of employees.
  • Sound technical, operational, administrative, and maintenance judgment and decision-making skills are required.

Special Considerations

  • Ability to respond to emergency situations as required.
  • The position is subject to travel throughout Illinois, Missouri, and Arkansas.
  • Position subject to being on call 24 hours, 7 days per week.
  • This position will be responsible for supporting the hiring and staffing process for the entire terminal facility and pipeline segments

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required
  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
