The company is seeking a Tool Room Machinist to join its production team.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants should have completed Trade School

Work Experience

• Possess 1 to 3 years of machining experience

Duties/Responsibilities

• Adherence to established safety practices and procedures while performing assignments.
• Assume responsibility for the quality of completed assignments.
• Must be able to determine proper processes and sequence of processes to produce parts per print.
• Must be able to work independently, and meet productivity, and due date requirements of assignments.
• Use shop mathematics, trigonometry, handbook formulas, and all types of precision measuring instruments including height gages, micrometers, and calipers.
• Using ingenuity and problem-solving skills to produce, fabricates, and troubleshoot parts and/or assemblies is required.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to program, set up, and operate CNC equipment including VMCs, Turning, and Waterjet equipment using Mazatrol and other conversational controls.
• MIG and TIG welding knowledge and skills (preferred)
• Must be able to read and understand complex blueprints including die, fixture, and piece part drawings.
• Must be able to set up and operate manual milling, turning, and grinding machinery.
• Must have good mechanical aptitude
• Understanding basic hydraulics (preferred)

Physical Demands

• Bending: Occasional bending to perform a variety of tasks
• Carrying: Occasional carrying of items weighing up to 20 lbs.
• Environment: Clean, well-lit, temperature-controlled shop environment
• Handling: Occasional handling of parts or hand tools, ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 20 lbs.
• Lifting: Occasional lifting of items ranging from 5 lbs. to 40 lbs. with assistance
• Pulling: Use of hand trucks to move parts, material, or tooling at moderate distances
• Reaching: Occasional reaching to load and unload parts from the machine
• Standing: Most tasks are performed in a standing position
• Walking: Occasional walking of moderate distances (< 1/8 mile)
