Job Profile

The company is searching for a Utility Assistant who will be responsible for miscellaneous duties that support cell operations ensuring that all required processes are completed to produce parts that meet quality and ISO standards.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants should be a High School Graduate or Equivalent

Work Experience

  • Possess previous manufacturing experience (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

Essential Functions-

  • Assemble product
  • Clean product
  • Inspect product to blueprint specifications
  • May finish, polish, and buff product to specifications
  • May operate CMM
  • Operate a glass bead blaster machine
  • Operate cryogenic deburr machine
  • Operate Laser Marker and Electro-Chemical Etcher
  • Operate Laser Welder
  • Operate mass finish machine
  • Operate Morgan Press
  • Operate Passivation line
  • Operate saw cut and dovetail machines
  • Operate ultrasonic cleaning tanks
  • Operate water jet cutter machine
  • Perform deburring operation of parts, as required
  • Perform visual inspections for burrs
  • Complete paperwork, as required

Occasional Duties-

  • Assist in other departments, as required.
  • Assist with special projects, as needed.
  • Once an employee demonstrates competency in a position, he/she may be required to train others in similar roles.
  • Run CNC equipment, if needed.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to follow directions, learn new processes, and have written documentation skills such as inspection reports, set up sheets, etc.
  • Ability to perform diversified tasks
  • Ability to work independently without supervision
  • Basic knowledge of blueprint reading
  • Basic knowledge of calipers and micrometers
  • Early morning, late evening, and weekend work may be required
  • Special attention to detail is required

Physical Demands

  • Occasionally required throughout the workday to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch; talk or hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to see print in various sizes and formats.
  • May be required to climb stairs.
  • Must regularly be able to pull and push up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in a production environment.
  • Exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time (for maintenance and receiving only).
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high, in some areas.
