Job Profile

The company is searching for a Utility/Ground Technician who will be able to complete a variety of labor and operation tasks in the quarry and crushing plant.

Be responsible for helping to move materials, stockpiling, plant maintenance and clean-up, and supporting various other production duties.

They must have a strong commitment to safety excellence.

Educational Qualification

• No education level is mentioned, yet having a High School Diploma will be a plus

Work Experience

• Possess experience operating various pieces of heavy equipment – bobcat, skid steer, and haul truck.
• Experience with aggregate operations is (a plus)
• Plant maintenance experience is (a plus)
• Previous experience welding and cutting (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Ability to perform plant maintenance work – cutting, welding, changing rollers and bearings, and belt splicing.
• Assist other workers as needed or directed and other duties as assigned by management.
• Being trained in various production positions and filling in as needed during vacations, absences, and increased production demand times.
• Complete daily inspections and equipment pre-shift reports – if applicable.
• General plant/mine labor and clean-up of production areas, including shoveling stones from around conveyors and assisting with plant clean-up and operations.
• Report equipment problems and identify them to management; help maintain quarry and equipment.
• Run water trucks to control dust on roadways.
• Running various pieces of equipment as needed – such as a bobcat, skid steer, and haul truck. Dozer, track hoe,

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to learn quickly
• Ability to perform a variety of duties, some of which may include plant clean-up, production, maintenance, heavy equipment operation, and other duties as assigned.
• Ability to understand basic safety and work instructions
• Must be willing to work weekends and overtime as necessary
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Self-motivated individual – must be able to perform required duties without constant supervision
• Uncompromising focus on safety excellence
