Job Profile
The company is searching for a Vibration Technician who will perform a variety of duties, in such a manner that maintains safe working conditions, maximum production, world-class maintenance procedures, quality standards, preservation of equipment capacity, and investment capital.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants must have a High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent
Work Experience
- Possess 5+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Vibration Cat II (ISO certified)
Duties/Responsibilities
Mechanical Tasks-
- Understanding of and experience with reading drawings, Bills of Materials, parts identification, planning, and scheduling
- Determine work procedures to assemble, dismantle and overhaul machinery and equipment
- Work with a wide variety of precision tools
- Perform a variety of maintenance-related tasks in connection with the maintenance, repair, or improvement of equipment
- Able to troubleshoot, PM, and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Laser-align equipment, rebuild pumps, change machine bearings, operate cutting torch, weld plate, and pipe, safely troubleshoot and repair hydraulic components, etc
- Expertise with common paper mill equipment/components such as conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors, rolls bearings, seals, chains, sprockets, couplings, cylinders, valves, etc
- Operate equipment such as hoists, cranes, forklifts, welding machines, burning rigs, etc.
Other Tasks-
- Collect and Analyze Vibration Data on 30-day intervals in paper mill environments which includes-
-Climbing areas such as lime kiln elevators, reclaimer stack-out conveyors
-Hot work locations such as paper machine dryer section
- Work as a team player in the mechanical reliability department contributing to the mill’s uptime through preventative and predictive maintenance task completions
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Able to complete and submit an employment application online
- Able to operate in heavy manufacturing sites and work variable schedules and overtime as needed.
- Be able to work well with others, understanding all rules and regulations that are associated with this facility
- Capable of meeting physical requirements to include working weekends/holidays, around heat, noise, work inside/outside, etc.
- Demonstrated the drive to achieve and have upward movement in various jobs
- Has the mechanical, mathematical, and verbal aptitude to learn positions
- Proven record of performance
- Self-motivated desire to learn
