Job Profile

The company is hiring a Visual Inspector (CWB II) to join its team for project support.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants should be CWB Level 2 Inspector endorsed to ASME Section VIII-1 or B31.3 (B31.1 is also acceptable)
• API 510 would be a bonus
• CGSB tickets (XF, MT, and PT) are an asset

Work Experience

• Possess a minimum of 3 years of QC experience (ITPs, weld mapping, % logs, etc.)
• Experience in pressure vessel or piping repairs
• Experience reviewing Work Scope Packages

Duties/Responsibilities

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Inspection of process piping, power piping, and structures from the material verification stage to the final commissioning and installation
• Knowledge of ASME B31.3, B31.1, VIII.Div.1, IX, II, CSA W47.1 and W59.3 codes is an asset
• Knowledge of NDT methods (x-ray/radiographic, mag-particle, liquid penetrant, etc.,) is an asset
• Observes work in progress to assure conformance with requirements and acceptable workmanship
• Utilizes applicable procedures, codes, and standards to evaluate test and inspection reports, recommending acceptance or rejection, or rejection

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Working knowledge of computers and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Long term maintenance
• Valid driver’s license
