The company is looking for a Welder to join its team.
Education Level
- High School Graduate or GED
Work Experience
- Minimum 12 months of experience required in GTAW (Tig), GMAW (Mig), or electrical welding techniques.
- Prefer 1 year or more of welding in an industrial/manufacturing environment
License/Certification
- Prefer 1 year of electrical/vocational welding school or certificate.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Checks specific component for proper dimensions and quality.
- Daily inspection of welding PPE, inspect electrical and all gas connections (connectors, gas fittings, cables, hoses, and all water-cooling systems) to ensure welding machines or robots are in good condition for safe operation before use.
- Follows all company safety rules and policies.
- Inspects products and processes while performing job duties to ensure all work done meets or exceeds the standards of the company’s quality program.
- Performs additional tasks as assigned by management or as the situation requires (i.e., fabrication or assembly)
- Reads shop blueprint drawings for weld specifications and job safety analysis work instructions to determine various parts to weld/install/assemble, or by instructions of supervisor.
- Uses an electrical welding technique to weld parts of dishwasher models.
- Works cooperatively and congenially with co-workers to achieve cohesive and productive work processes and work environment.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions regarding techniques required for general assembly work.
- Ability to communicate clearly with other co-workers to coordinate the number and type of assemblies required.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds or knowledge of using lifts
- Ability to read and understand simple blueprints.
- Ability to use a variety of small hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Ability to weld thin-gauge metals of Stainless Steel.
- Possess basic mechanical aptitude and ability.
- Preferably set up and operate robotic weld equipment to include editing programs.
- Skilled in the use of material gauges, calipers, and micrometers
Work Environment
- Exposed to heat, sparks, and bright light
- Follows strict safety and welding standards
- Stands, crouches, or bends for long periods
- Wears protective gear (helmet, gloves, etc.)
- Works in workshops, factories, or outdoor sites
