Job Profile

The company is hiring a Welder Assembler who will fuse metal materials using high heating equipment and welding processes such as MIG and TIG.

Work with a range of materials and equipment in fitting and assembling metal components to form structures.

Assist in the final assembly of our evaporator or condenser units.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)

Work Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience with MIG and TIG
  • 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing operations

License/Certification

  • Must be able to pass a certification weld test with MIG and TIG

Duties/Responsibilities

Welding-

  • Operate hand-welding and flame-cutting equipment such as oxyacetylene torch
  • Perform inter-piping, including fitting, aligning, and adjustments
  • Perform leak tests
  • Perform weldments out of position with exceptional appearance
  • Read blueprints and drawings to identify welding measurements and positions
  • Weld a variety of materials such as sheet metal, carbon steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and copper with no leaks

Assembly-

  • Fit, align, adjust, fasten, or plumb parts together to ordinary tolerances
  • Read and understand the bill of materials
  • Tag and label finished units
  • Use tools such as wrenches, impact guns, utility knife, drift pins, sealant tape, glue, staple gun, nail gun, sheet grinder, and any other required tools/equipment safely and effectively

Overall-

  • Additional duties as assigned
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols by wearing protective glasses, gloves, masks, earplugs, and boots
  • Keep an organized and clean work area
  • Operate a crane and a forklift
  • Troubleshoot issues with assistance

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to read mechanical engineering drawings
  • Ability to weld pipe/tubing leak-free
  • Experience welding steel, stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum
  • Knowledge of engineered specified tolerances
  • Organized, self-starter, with the ability to work unsupervised while meeting all product quality requirements
  • Read a tape measure and ruler, and convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions

Work Environment

  • Climb stairs, reach, and bend regularly
  • Manufacturing environment requires the use of required Personal Protective Equipment, such as foot, eye, and ear protection, when in production locations
  • Occasionally lift, grasp, hold, or move up to 50 pounds
  • Occasionally stand, walk, climb, crawl, twist, and work at heights.

  • Potential exposure to bad weather, excessive heat, or excessive noise
  • May be required to sit for long periods
