Job Profile

The company is searching for a Welder/Fabricator who will be responsible for installing and welding natural gas, steel pipelines, and fittings.

This position supports the Line team and works with personnel in the field and within the department.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants should have a High School Diploma or Equivalent

Work Experience

• Possess 2 years of welding experience in Utility Equipment

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years or more of welding experience
• DOT Operator Qualification
• Stick welding certification

Duties/Responsibilities

• Operate Jobsite equipment safely.
• Perform welding of steel pipelines and fittings primarily onto utility equipment.
• Rebuilding numerous builds and hydraulics
• Utilize MIG, as well as some TIG and Stick welding techniques
• Work as Mechanic when needed
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to meet physical demands
• Ability to work in inclement weather at times
• Ability to work as per schedule
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics
• Be mechanically inclined
• CDL Class A/B or Ability to receive within 90 days of employment
• Competent in MIG/TIG and Stick welding and cutting techniques
• Willingness to learn

Work Environment

• Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
• Also, working in inclement weather conditions, such as extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, ice, snow, and wind.
• Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more or 20 inches or less, with the ability to judge distance and space relationships.
• Job operates in a shop and field environment.
• Must be able to bend and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Precise hand-eye coordination.
• Routinely requires extended periods of bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, lifting in awkward positions, standing, and twisting.
• This position is physically active, with lifting required.
