Job Profile

The company is seeking a Welder/Fabricator (Heavy Equipment) to join its technical team.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED
• Welding Certifications/School (preferred)

Work Experience

• Possess a minimum of 5 years of job-related experience (required)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Analyze and perform complex welding repairs
• Operates any equipment needed to perform the job
• Perform welding services on assigned projects
• Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
• Sets up, performs maintenance on fab and machine shop machines, and performs burn work.
• Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
• Performs other duties as assigned

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to be productive by being a self-starter and working efficiently and effectively with a high energy level.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to operate a crane and forklift, and obtain required certifications/licenses
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Knowledge of safe work procedures and practices
• Must have own welding hood, cutters, and measuring tools.
• Must know how to flux-core FCAW and Mig – GMAW weld
• Proficient fabrication skills – cutting experience (hand-held torch, cut-a-line, plasma, air arc).
• Required Ability to read and understand blueprints specifications
• Required Five years minimum welding fabrication
• Understand how to read blueprints.

Travel

• Up to 10% travel may be required, including overnight stays

Other Requirements

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment weld test
• Must have a valid driver’s license
